How to attach your USB to VirtualBox's VM

Reset the USB stick (all data will be LOST)

• Don't forget to FORMAT your USB after doing resetting the USB

TL;DR:

# as admin
diskpart
list disk
# check which disk is your USB
select disk=YOUR_USB_DISK_NUMBER
clean
convert mbr
create partition primary
exit

& format the USB.

Make sure that machine's local state is NOT saved (power off instead)!

• Power off the machine (exit & select Power off the machine or Send the shutdown signal instead of Save the machine state

Download VirtualBox's Extension Pack

• It might be useful to restart your PC after installing the Extension pack.

Change VMs USB settings

• Change settings from OHCI (1.1) or EHCI (2.0) to xHCI (3.0)
• Save the settings

Test it out

• Start the VM
• VM window > Devices > USB > your_device
