How to build and run YugabyteDB on macOS

Download the source code

git clone https://github.com/yugabyte/yugabyte-db.git
cd yugabyte-db

Build YugabyteDB

./yb_build.sh --no-tests

Run YugabyteDB

./bin/yugabyted start --background=false --master_flag="ysql_log_min_messages=DEBUG" --tserver_flags="ysql_log_min_messages=DEBUG"

Check the log file

cd ~/var/data/yb-data
view master/logs/yb-master.xxxxx.txt
