Boxen uses a bunch of shellscripts to insert itself into your environment on shell load.

These assume a POSIX shell, which fish is not.

Run this script to generate a fish-compatible config file in ~/.config/fish/boxen.fish, which you can source at the end of your ~/.config/fish/config.fish.

I just don't understand why people use mount, I must be missing something, its model of each namespace as a component, with state as a global thing in a namespace(maybe I am mistunderstanding this), just seems bad, like sticking (def state (atom {})) in every namespace would be

Notes from the "Conquering Kubernetes with Emacs" presentation

Conquering Kubernetes with Emacs

Specific Annoying workflow

Listing pods with kubectl get pods, then select a pod name and copy paste it into kubectl logs [pod name]

Why?

  • I want to streamline my workflow and stop using the terminal
  • learn more about kubernetes
  • main kubernetes extension for Emacs out there is greedy for permissions
