TrueEffort ("the app") is a running race-pacing tool. This policy explains what data the app handles.
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. This collects:
- Anonymous usage events (e.g. which screens and features are used)
- A Firebase app-instance identifier
- Approximate (city-level) location derived from your IP address
- Basic device information (model, OS version)
The app does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email, contacts, or precise device location.
Route files (GPX/FIT/TCX/KML) you import are processed on your device and stored locally on your device only. They are not uploaded to us.
The app uses the Google Maps SDK to display routes. Your use of Maps is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Collected data is used solely to operate and improve the app. We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for advertising.
Analytics data is retained according to Google Firebase's default retention settings. To request deletion of data associated with your device, contact us at the email below.
The app is not directed at children under 13.
We may update this policy; changes will be posted on this page.
