<Toasterson> is there a cache for /etc/resolv.conf in OI

<xenol> there is nscd
<xenol> but it caches more things
<Toasterson> well i wanted to install a package in a zone but forgot to add dns to resolvconf. after adding dns pkg still insisted that pkg.openindiana.org was unresolvable. even when host utility proved otherwise.
<Toasterson> even a zone reboot did not help
<xenol> have you edited /etc/nsswitch.conf?
<Toasterson> nope
<xenol> cp /etc/nsswitch.{dns,conf} should help
<Toasterson> yep that was the culprit thanks.
<xenol> we should make that default possibly :)
<Toasterson> could help or design a more sane nsswitsch.conf default.
