The purpose of these two files is to have a simple way of starting a web server server static files.
I use this all time I need to serve some static files in development. With this, it's easy to get a development web server up and running.
Copy the two files at the root of the directory where files need to be
served. If you need to serve a sub folder only, append it at the end
of the root
variable definition.
When file are copied to the right location, in a terminal, install the bundle:
bundle install
Then to start the web server:
bundle exec rackup
The server will listen to http://0.0.0.0:9292
. To access it, simpy
type the url http://localhost:9292
in your browser.
