Request for "SimpleTurris"

HW Requirements

  • Radio 2.4GHz and 5GHz
  • Ethernet port

Functions

  • When connected to network, will try to lookup Turris Omnia on 192.168.1.1 and will sync with it
  • Will configure WiFi APs exactly as configured on Omnia
  • Will passthrough everything from Wifi to the main LAN
  • Will sync updates from the main Turris Omnia device

Reasoning

Many people nowadays have wired ethernet through their homes, but for mobile devices and laptops it's way more convenient to use wireless connectivity. With this simple setup people can walk around the whole appartment/house without the worry of losing connectivity and without the need to reconnect to local wifi endpoints.

I have just experienced the pain of setting up TP-Link Archer C7 with LEDE to provide exactly this functionality - but without the sync, and that would be super-convenient.
