iOS 16

Lock screen:
-  customizations: widgets, fonts, colors, wallpaper (portrait mode, clock under subject)
- Notifications: live activities. Auto-update notifications on the home screen. Api in an ios 16 update later in the year
- Focus mode integrated on lock screen
- 

Messages:
- “shared with you” API
- Messages: mark unread, undo sent
- FaceTime -> tap to see what on your phone supports shareplay
- SharePlay in Messages (i.e. disney +)
- 

All new on-device dictation experience:
- keyboard still open while dictating
- Select text and replace with voice, just by speaking
- Dictation automatically adds punctuation. Emoji insert via dictation

App intents API (built in Swift)

Live text (ocr in photos, added last year)
Live text in Video
Quick actions in live text (convert currency, translate, etc)
Touch and hold on the subject in a photo and drag and drop in a message (dog example)

Wallet
- provide id in apps that require age verification
- Sharing keys via messaging apps (mail, messages, whatsapp(
- Work with IETF to make sharing keys industry standard (cross platform)
Apple Pay
- tap to pay on iphone (US)
- Apple Pay Later: split the cost of an apple pay purchase into 4 equal payments, zero fees, 6 weeks (now, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks). 
- Order tracking via Apple Pay, sent to your wallet

Maps
- new experience in 11 more locations
- Multistop routing: up to 15 stops in advance
- Ask siri to add additional stops while driving
- Transit: see fares, add transit card to wallet

- Live activities: scores and play by play from Apple TV app

- easier to manage account for kids; improved age limit setting experience

- Better way to share photos with your family: iCloud Shared Photo Library (separate library, everyone can contribute and enjoy)

Privacy
- Safety Check: tool to help persons escaping abusive relationships (revoke abusers access)
