Raspberry Pi VPN Router

This is a quick-and-dirty guide to setting up a Raspberry Pi as a "router on a stick" to PrivateInternetAccess VPN.

Requirements

Install Raspbian Jessie (2016-05-27-raspbian-jessie.img) to your Pi's sdcard.

Use the Raspberry Pi Configuration tool or sudo raspi-config to:

installing unison on mac

brew install unison

workaround for missing unison-fswatch in brew

sudo pip install macfsevents
curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jumpstarter-io/unox/master/unox.py |sudo tee /usr/local/bin/unison-fsmonitor >/dev/null
sudo chmod +x /usr/local/bin/unison-fsmonitor

Installing

Install FFmpeg with homebrew. You'll need to install it with a couple flags for webm and the AAC audio codec.

brew install ffmpeg --with-libvpx --with-libvorbis --with-fdk-aac --with-opus
