Matt's Dank Keeb Pad

Step 1

You will need:

  • Place you can have good airflow to use very fumy glue
  • Place you can let the project cure for a few days of emitting those fumes
  • Some stuff to clamp the pads together for a couple days (I use scrap boards and bar clamps)

Get this: https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical-Keyboards-MacBooks-Notebooks-Neoprene/dp/B004DANDN4/

Get one of these:

Note: I've only ever used brown, black leather dyes can rub off on wrist, ymmv.

Get some of this: https://www.amazon.com/Barge-Toluene-Free-Purpose-Cement/dp/B002JL2ZGA/

Step 2

Peel the nylon top off of the FAT neoprene rest. (Use this TOP side as the new BOTTOM, it is stickier to your desk).

Step 3

Put Barge Cement on the slick size of the FAT wrest, and the rough side of the leather.

Cover generously, it will soak into the leather.

Step 4

DO NOT PUT TOGETHER: Let the Barge Cement cure for 10-15min until tacky.

Step 5

Put peices together. Clamp together with whatever is handy (I use some scrap boards and bar clamps).

Step 6

Let cure for 48hrs. The cement will stink for at least this long.
