Our lives are increasingly intertwined with technology, the storage space on our devices becomes a valuable commodity. In this guide, we'll use the built-in Terminal app to free up space on your Mac without using any third-party software.

1. Empty the Trash

Start by emptying the Trash. Even though this can be done through the Finder, you can also do it via Terminal using the rm command.

sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash/*

Installing Homebrew and Anaconda on a Mac

Install Homebrew

Run the following command on your terminal to install Homebrew. Homebrew is a package manager for Macs and is used to install useful development tools and software.

Install Anaconda through Homebrew

Run brew install --cask anaconda to install Anaconda

Pure ESM package

The package that linked you here is now pure ESM. It cannot be require()'d from CommonJS.

This means you have the following choices:

Use ESM yourself. (preferred)
Use import foo from 'foo' instead of const foo = require('foo') to import the package. You also need to put "type": "module" in your package.json and more. Follow the below guide.
If the package is used in an async context, you could use await import(…) from CommonJS instead of require(…).
Stay on the existing version of the package until you can move to ESM.
