skunks evolved to fart on predators. how did that happen? well they say lightning never strikes twice but we know that's not true. a skunk once farted on a predator and lived. maybe not a predator, but it was a man in overalls and a hat. and the skunk lived, and its kids were like "shit just got real. this shit's working."
and the skunk's kids were like "hey dad did you just fart on that farmer?" and their dad was like "yep. no more worms for that fucker."
the farmers were like "hey what's that smell?" and they'd go to check it out and be like "yo what the fuck." and that's how it got started.
skunks evolved to fart on predators. and that was back in the day, when everything stank. all of the animals stank, even their food stank, the air stank, because of all the farting, and it didn't stop for a long time, and people didn't like it. so, just imagine what those early humans were like. they were just like regular humans but they stank. a lot.
and then a funny thing happened. a funny thing happened. they discovered skunks and how to take them out of the picture. and so when it came time to defend themselves they're like "i know, let's capture a skunk and set it on fire."
