1. Navigate to /Library/LaunchAgents/.
2. Edit com.razer.rzupdater.plist.
3. Change <false/> in onDemand to <true/>.

This will disable the menu bar item, and the startup of the Synapse app while still loading the engine!

This doesn't seem to apply anymore - just installed Razer Synapse on Sierra, and there's no com.razer anything in the LaunchAgents folder.

I just did it on High Sierra, still works.
