Decide you want to make
ndelicious burgers -
Go to a butcher, buy
n/2lbs of ribeye steak, ask them to grind it for you -
Make that beautiful ground ribeye into 1/2 lb patties

Sprinkle sea salt and ground black pepper on both sides of the patties

Heat cast iron skillet to 400 degrees in an oven (leave the oven at 400)

Caramelize some onions

Put cast iron skillet on the stove over high heat

Put the burgers into the skillet for 1.5 minutes per side (the goal here is to get a nice, seared crust on both sides)

Put the skillet into the 400 degree oven for 7-8 minutes

Pull the skillet out of the oven, throw a slice of American cheese on each burger
-
Let the burgers rest for a few minutes

Top with caramelized onions, serve on a potato bun
