[00:35.00]and feel too little. | |
[00:37.00]More than machinery | |
[00:38.00]we need humanity. | |
[00:39.00]More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. | |
[00:43.00]Without these qualities life will be violent | |
[00:46.00]and all will be lost. | |
[00:47.00]The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. | |
[00:50.00]The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men, | |
[00:53.00]cries out for universal brotherhood, for the unity of us all | |
[00:57.00]Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, | |
[01:00.00]millions of desparing men, women, and little children, | |
[01:03.00]victims of a system that makes men torture | |
[01:06.00]and imprison innocent people. | |

[01:31.00]Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men! | |
[01:34.00]Machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts! | |
[01:38.00]You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are *men*! | |
[01:41.00]You have the love of humanity in your hearts. | |
[01:43.00]You don't hate. Only the unloved hate, the unloved and the unnatural. | |
[01:48.00]Soldiers! Don't fight for slavery! Fight for liberty! | |
[01:51.00]In the 17th chapter of St. Luke it is written: | |
[01:53.00]"The Kingdom of God is within man." | |
[01:56.00]Not one man, nor a group of men, but in all men: in you! | |
[01:59.00]You the people have the power. | |
[02:02.00]The power to create machines, | |
[02:03.00]The power to create happiness | |
[02:05.00]You the people have the power to make this life free and beautiful, | |
[02:08.00]to make this life a wonderful adventure! | |
[02:10.00]Then, in the name of democracy, let us that power! | |
[02:13.00]Let us all unite! | |
[02:15.00]Let us fight for a new world! | |
[02:17.00]Dictators free themselves, | |
[02:20.00]but they enslave the people. | |
[02:22.00]Now let us fight to fulfil that promise. | |
[02:24.00]Let us fight to free the world! |
