Sweden seems to have a tradition of museums based on “this one guy collected all this stuff during his life and now it is a museum”. Many of those guys were lesser nobility, but this one was more your working man. Anyway, it is a highly mixed collection that offers a peek into the Sweden of yesteryear. Definitely a curiosity in many ways, but an entertaining one.
Not just classic cars, but all kinds of miscellaneous stuff too.

Cultural history museum with old buildings and their interiors. There is especially a little library that is just beautiful.

The Lund Historical museum. Not on the same level as Copenhagen’s but has some nice medieval art (and some nice axes).

Super cool space in old water cisterns where they host different exhibitions.

Some of the world’s most famous bronze age artifacts are housed here. An absolutely wonderful place that you can easily spend a day at. The bog preserved textiles especially are mind bogglingly well preserved. While this is not technically an art or design museum, most of what’s in there has been designed and much of it is art. Plus, the best boat axes are some of the most beautiful things I know.
A nice art museum specializing in sculpture, but also has much else. The Egyptian part is a particular highlight I think.

Original manuscripts by Saxo Grammaticus, a Gutenberg bible, Audubon’s Birds of America, Illuminated manuscripts and much more. It’s a small room, but it packs a lot of punch.
An amazing maze of a place and one of the best collections of Islamic art in Europe. Especially the textiles and the early calligraphy are worth seeing in my view.
The Danish national art museum. Very nice collection. A whole wall full of Lucas Cranach is reason enough to go there.
