Privacy Policy for ReciMe Importer for Rise 'n' Bake

Overview

ReciMe Importer for Rise 'n' Bake ("the Extension") is a Chrome extension designed to help bakery owners import recipes from ReciMe.app into their Rise 'n' Bake management system. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data.

Information We Collect

The Extension collects and stores:

  • Authentication tokens: Securely stored locally to connect with your Rise 'n' Bake admin panel
  • Recipe data: Temporarily processed when you import recipes (ingredients, instructions, cooking times)
  • Extension settings: Your preferences for AI providers and backend URLs

How We Use Information

  • Recipe extraction: To parse and format recipe data from ReciMe.app
  • Authentication: To securely communicate with your Rise 'n' Bake instance
  • Import processing: To transfer recipe data to your bakery management system

Data Storage

  • All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API
  • No data is sent to third-party servers except:
    • Your Rise 'n' Bake backend (your own server)
    • Optional AI services (OpenAI/Anthropic) only if you configure and enable them
    • ReciMe.app (to read recipe content you explicitly choose to import)

Data Sharing

We do not:

  • Sell your data
  • Share your data with third parties
  • Track your browsing activity
  • Collect analytics or telemetry

Data Security

  • Authentication tokens are stored securely in Chrome's local storage
  • All communication with your Rise 'n' Bake backend uses your configured security settings
  • API keys for AI services (if used) are stored locally and never transmitted except to the respective AI service

User Rights

You can:

  • Clear all stored data through the extension options
  • Revoke the extension's permissions at any time
  • Delete the extension to remove all associated data

Children's Privacy

This extension is designed for professional use by bakery businesses and is not intended for children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices. We will notify users of any material changes through the extension update notes.

Compliance

This extension complies with:

  • Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) where applicable

This privacy policy applies only to the ReciMe Importer for Rise 'n' Bake Chrome extension and not to the Rise 'n' Bake web application or ReciMe.app services.%
