При помощи этих подсказок уже осуществлялись подачи на загранпаспорт в Гюмри и Ереване - все прошло успешно, работники консульства не задавали никаких вопросов.

Для подачи на загран алгоритм такой:

Ловим слот и записываемся в Ереван/Гюмри. Слоты появляются в начале каждого месяца (примерно 31-1ое число) для записи на следующий (в Гюмри более случайно, бывает и в середине месяца). Кроме того иногда люди отказываются от своих записей и они тоже становятся доступны.
За 2 рабочих дня звоним в консульство (после записи в слот придет письмо с телефоном) и подтверждаем визит.

Boot Windows. Disable "fast boot", control panel > power options > choose what the power buttons do > change settings that are currently unavailable > un-check "turn on fast startup".

Open partition manager program, shrink windows partition.

Burn ubuntu server live on to a usb stick. Insert USB stick. Restart, press F7.

If USB stick does not show up, enter bios menu. Remove USB stick, wait a few seconds, then plug USB stick back in. Exit and reset bios.

Press F7, this time the USB option should show up.

CloudFlare is an awesome reverse cache proxy and CDN that provides DNS, free HTTPS (TLS) support, best-in-class performance settings (gzip, SDCH, HTTP/2, sane Cache-Control and E-Tag headers, etc.), minification, etc.

Make sure you have registered a domain name.
Sign up for CloudFlare and create an account for your domain.
In your domain registrar's admin panel, point the nameservers to CloudFlare's (refer to this awesome list of links for instructions for various registrars).
From the CloudFlare settings for that domain, enable HTTPS/SSL and set up a Page Rule to force HTTPS redirects. (If you want to get fancy, you can also enable automatic minification for text-based assets [HTML/CSS/JS/SVG/etc.], which is a pretty cool feature if you don't want already have a build step for minification.)
