It's a very useful library!
So where is E sharp? Some notes don't have their sharps and no notes have their flats. Is there a complete library for the pitches somewhere?
This Gist was created 8 years ago (2012) so that it was discoverable by searching Github itself.
It came from the very same code paste that still exists in the official toneKeyboard tutorial.

Oh yes, I know, I've used this "library" (really just a list of note frequencies, I don't think of it as a library) extensively recently and I always thought I maybe just had an older example sketch. I've been trying to add the sharps myself recently and I'm worried I might be getting them wrong. If there's a slightly updated version that would be nice, but I assume I'll have to do this myself, although I really don't trust my accuracy.

As you may see on the piano, some black keys are missing. E sharp is just the same as F. F flat is same as E. Same with B sharp is just C, and C flat is just B. I see the definitions only define sharps, A sharp is the same as b flat. Probably done like this to save memory as it is a limited resource.
You can easily add E sharp as follows:
#define NOTE_E4 330
#define NOTE_ES4 349
#define NOTE_F4 349
did you write
#include "pitches.h"
no
Hi, thanks for the library, it's very helpfull, buildt some custom music with it lately. I've encountered the issue that NOTE_C7 seems to be much louder than the others in that range, you got maybe an idea why?
@JaneLast Sorry, no. I didn't write it. I just put it here so people using Ardiuno tutorial code search for pitches.h
on Github, it appears in the search results. Original source here: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/toneKeyboard
Hi, is this covered by any license or intellectual right?
Hi, is this covered by any license or intellectual right?
If it is, it likely belongs to the Arduino project. Here you can see the same code on their site https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/BuiltInExamples/toneMelody
It also appears here: https://github.com/arduino/arduino-examples/blob/main/examples/02.Digital/toneMelody/pitches.h
This "Gist" is merely here for search/discovery.
hello , i just wanted to upload an sketch to my arduino uno r3 but it errors this: exit status 1
everything is correct like port and board and device settings
Hey Rosso!
Did you find out how to change the pin nr?
