The only change I needed was in the init method,

session = boto3.Session(
aws_access_key_id=AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID,
aws_secret_access_key=AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY,
)
self.client = session.client('elastictranscoder', 'eu-west-1')

Ofcourse, the keys coming from the environment.
