Having descriptive and an organized media file structure is crucial for delivering a video project within a timely manner. Having recently watched this wedding video edit by Scott Mckenna on YouTube, I noticed how he organized his footage by keywords in Final Cut Pro - and I like it a lot.
I've adopted his keyword collections within an FCPX file and am sharing it here for easy access for anyone who, like me, would find it helpful.
- Simply download the ZIP FILE to your computer and then extract it.
- Double click and open the
wedding_keywords_import.fcpxmlfile which will open up Final Cut and will ask to add it as project as a new event OR you can use the import xml menu option (File → Import → XML) within Final Cut Pro X. - Next, within FCPX drag and drop the all keywords from the Wedding Keywords event into your main event and use as needed.
- When done you can delete the Wedding Keywords event from your project. Any keywords you've dragged over to a working event, will remain in that event and won't be affected if the Wedding Keywords event is removed.
Enjoy! 😊
The FCP Wedding Keywords Collection provides a carefully curated set of descriptive, emotional, and cinematic keywords designed to elevate your workflow inside Final Cut Pro. Whether you’re organizing wedding footage, crafting storytelling sequences, or enhancing visual aesthetics, these keywords help categorize wedding florist adelaide moments such as bride prep, groom portraits, ceremony highlights, romantic shots, family emotions, and reception celebrations.
