# Contributor License Agreement (CLA)
_For projects licensed under the Elastic License 2.0_

Thank you for your interest in contributing to this project. To ensure that all contributions can be used, licensed, and redistributed under the Elastic License 2.0 (ELv2), we require that all contributors agree to the following terms.

## 1. Definitions
- **"You"** means the individual submitting a contribution.  
- **"Contribution"** means any code, documentation, or other material you intentionally provide to this project via pull request, issue, patch, or any other method.

## 2. License Grant
You grant the project maintainers and the project’s users a **perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free license** to use your Contribution under the **Elastic License 2.0**.

This means your Contribution may be:
- Reproduced  
- Modified  
- Distributed  
- Used commercially or non-commercially  
- Combined with other works  
- Licensed to others under ELv2  

## 3. Originality of Work
You represent that:
1. You wrote the Contribution yourself, or  
2. You have the right to submit it (for example, employer permission), and  
3. Your Contribution does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.

If your employer owns intellectual property you create, you confirm that:
- You have received permission to submit the Contribution on behalf of your employer, and  
- Your employer waives any rights necessary for the project to use your Contribution under ELv2.

## 4. No Additional Restrictions
You agree not to impose any additional terms or licenses on your Contributions that would conflict with the **Elastic License 2.0**.

## 5. No Warranty
You provide your Contribution **“as is”**, without warranty of any kind, and the project maintainers are not liable for any damages resulting from its use.

## 6. Entire Agreement
This CLA is the complete agreement regarding licensing of your Contributions. If you submit multiple Contributions, this agreement covers all of them.

## Sign-off
By signing this CLA (for example, via GitHub CLA bot or contributor check), you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms.
