-What are your top 3 core values? What are the strengths and talents that you love using? Who do you impact or want to make a difference for? What’s important about this? What kind of role do you see yourself pursuing in your job search?
Three of my core values in my work are communication, clarity, and empathy. I think communication between developers working on a project is key to an efficient, enjoyable workflow and a quality end product. I think one of my strengths as a developer is to pre-plan as much as necessary. Considering beforehand the most efficient ways to pass data between classes, basic class/component structures, and how your UX will be can take a lot of headache out of the actual development process if you brainstorm and whiteboard some of these things first. When working in groups, I have no problem stepping up to the plate if the group seems to need some direction and motivation. This may be for the entirety of a project or may just be for a certain day. I can keep groups on track by ensuring we have some sort of plan/schedule not just for that week but for that day, as well as having clear and specific end goals for each work session. I make sure to always be a positive presence in the group and make everyone feel equally valued and heard.
While the internet and modern technology may be standard for many of us, there are others who do not have access to these utilities and it can leave them at a disadvantage. I want to be a part of the progression of technology that helps make the world wide web and other modern technologies accessible to virtually anybody. This includes consideration for people with disabilities (blindness, motor function disorders) as well as people who live in areas where internet is slow or scarce. The reason this is so important is that lack of quality internet or access to technology can keep people in a vicious cycle of being at a disadvantage. Imagine trying to apply for a job without proper internet access, it would be a nightmare in this day and age.
In my job search, there are many roles I would consider settling into. However I think a good place to start would be developing on a team, rather than something QA related because I imagine those roles require more experience.

Professional Resume Summary:
I'm a web developer with a passion for the innovation and accessibility of technology for people around the globe. Love figuring out efficient and effective ways to accomplish tasks, cooperative in teams, and dedicated to learning and growing every day.
LinkedIn Summary:
Programming changed my life.
That may sound a bit dramatic, but it's true. The things I've experienced while studying to be a developer absolutely changed me for the better. Not only did I discover a type of work that was both satisfying to me and beneficial to society, but it's given me the chance to work with so many different people. Learning from other peoples perspectives and experiences is humbling and fulfilling, and has led me to become a more empathetic developer who cares strongly about the readability, quality, and accessibility of their end product.
I work well in teams, and get satisfaction from helping to creating a smooth, efficient workflow for myself and anyone involved. I think everybody in a group should be equally heard and valued, and that open communication is essential for any team. There are always multiple ways to solve the same problem, the trick is figuring out the BEST solution, and I believe that is another key factor to success when working in teams.
Turing Alumni Summary:
Following my passion into college I graduated with a bachelors in Recording Arts and Music Business from CU Denver. In my job search, I wound up working a finance job and studying to become a stock broker. I still felt like I could be more proud of the work I do though. I wanted to work in a way that could compliment both my creative and logical skills. I eventually realized that programming, something that had been an interest to me for some time, was actually a great way to be able to think both creatively and logically. After gaining some education and experience in the field, I felt I finally found work that was truly satisfying to me. Programming and development grows as a passion of mine with every day, and I am constantly looking to improve my craft and showcase my skills.

Cody, dont forget to do week deliverables: eliverables- below are, Due 5/17 (career journal & tracking updates are due weekly (every Sunday night).
In your career journal reflect on your mock interviews with employers/Alumni-What went well? What could you improve? How did the practice feel? Other reflections.
Start building your story bank (this can be done over time. It is not due this week. However, now is a good time to start a storytelling bank of interview answers so you’re ready with compelling, concise, and relevant examples, no matter which question gets asked. I suggest creating doc (or add to your journal) to keep track of technical concepts you're practicing, behavioral answers, and feedback.
Answer Job search metrics (tracking questions) in the journal. (this is due every week to track your job search progress).
How many people did you reach out to this week?
How many new leads or contacts did you get?
How many jobs did you apply to?
How many interviews did you have?
How many hours did it take you to do all this?
