| mpapis: mrbrdo, I need to know first what command exactly did you ran and all the output you got | |
| [01:40am] mpapis: rvm install 1.7.6-new | |
| mrbrdo: I'm not sure that that will just work like that? | |
| [01:40am] mrbrdo: 1.7.6-new? doesn't it need to know which jruby I want | |
| [01:40am] mrbrdo: mpapis: the command I ran was: gem install bundler | |
| [01:41am] mrbrdo: and the output was: | |
| [01:41am] mrbrdo: ERROR: While executing gem ... (SocketError) | |
| [01:41am] mrbrdo: bind: name or service not known | |
| [01:41am] mrbrdo: nothing else | |
| [01:44am] mrbrdo: the weird thing is that it only happens with 1.7.6, not with 1.7.4, 1.7.10 or 1.7.11 | |
| [01:44am] mrbrdo: and after I scped the .rvm/rubies/jruby-1.7.6 from a working machine it just works fine now | |
| [01:45am] mrbrdo: I'm wondering if there was a new build of 1.7.6 that is broken or something? I don't know how this could actually be a rvm issue |

mrbrdo, ah jest, you might want to explicitly say jruby-1.7.6-new
but 1.7 is specific to juby and rvm should detect that
as for debugging the command: ruby -wdS gem install ..
