Applying for British Passport

  1. Take an English GESE Grade 5 Exam
  2. Take a life in the UK test
  3. Fill application
  4. Send documentation via Nationality Checking Service
  5. Wait for approval
  6. Go through ceremonies
  7. Apply for British Passport
  8. Request not to lose Spanish nationality

General information

English Test

The exam is 10 minutes long. There are two parts:

  • Topic: You choose a topic to prepare in advance of the test, for discussion with the examiner. You must complete a Topic Form in advance and bring it with you to the exam.
  • Conversation: You have a short conversation with the examiner about two subject areas chosen by the examiner.
