OpenWRT TP-Link 1043ND Debricking Guide

Instructions

Download the latest available firmware for the router from TP-Link's website. Rename it to wr1043v3_tp_recovery.bin and place it in TFTP server's root directory (we can use Wireshark to check the filename which router looks for in Recovery Mode).

Disable laptop's firewall. Give laptop's ethernet port the IP address 192.168.0.66/24 and connect it to LAN port of TP-Link. Power off the TP-Link. Now press the reset button and power it on (while keeping the reset button pressed). The router will download the firmware off of the TFTP server and will reboot after some time.
