Exhibit Abstract (50-100 words max.)

Have you ever thought about being able to print objects as you would documents? So did we. 3D Printers seem to be taking the Maker world by storm, and we have some with us.

So, come and see some 3D printers in action. We'll have a group of RepRaps printing whistles that you can take away all day. Get there in the morning, and you can have your initials printed on one for free!

Exhibit Detail (100-500 words max.)

Step into the world of 3D Printing. Imagine being able to take a 3D model and see it appear in front of your very eyes. We'll have a couple of RepRaps with us to show off the magic of 3D Printing (or additive manufacturing, if you must.)

We plan to print whistles all day, so you can have something that's been created on a 3D Printer. If you come to the stand in the morning, you can also have your initials printed on them, but we will be printing whistles all day. At the end of the day, you can come and pick up your free whistle.

See, with 3D printing, you can create working objects directly from the models. And, this is exactly how the whistles work. We'll be printing the ball inside the case, and once it's finished, it'll work straight away, bar a little bit of cosmetic tidying up.

We hope that you'll go away realising that 3D printing is a thing of the present, not the future, and something that you can take part in at relatively low cost today. We also hope you'll realise the implications that this will have on the future of manufacturing and the very products you rely on today.
