Windows 10 Clean Installation Procedure

Post-Installation

  • Run the Windows 10 debloater script.
    • Download the latest version's zip.
    • Right-click on "Windows10DebloaterGUI.ps1"
    • Select "Run with Powershell"
    • Follow the instructions as provided in the repository to complete the cleanup

Notable repositories

  • Windows 10 Debloater
    • Remove bloatware from your Windows 10 installation
    • Also allows easy removal of OneDrive integration
  • DPST Control
    • Allows removal of Intel Display Savings Technology on drivers without the Intel Control Panel
    • This removes display flickering at low brightness
  • LocaleEmulator
    • Handy tool that can be used to spoof a specific locale for a specific exe without having to change the system fallback locale (handy when running foreign software that requires a specific locale)
    • Useful for running e.g. software made in Japan that assumes Japanese locale settings
