Wow mate you are a life saver!! This worked perfect for me.

I added a function when adding a user to prevent the in_array() and array_intersect() errors. The checkboxes in the add user page are also long, so had to remove 'class="mrpu-roles-container"'. The fork can be found at https://gist.github.com/ray-ang/3c77e664b73192b5b2d0a7dd65655413

@saimjohn, place it in a folder in the wp-content\plugins directory or just in the root path of your wp-content\plugins directory.
