I could write a drawn out, multi-page essay on the reasons that net | |
neutrality needs to be upheld, but it honestly doesn't require that. | |
It is simple: | |
We pay ISPs exorbitant amounts of money to provide us with unfettered | |
access to the internet, and they should be lawfully bound to this | |
agreement. ISPs must be reclassified under title II of the | |
Communication Act of 1934 and regarded as a utility in the eyes of the | |
law. | |
ISPs can not be allowed to decide what gets preferential treatment and | |
what doesn't. That would be wrong. It would complete rid the internet | |
of openness and would divide the internet into those who can afford to | |
be extorted by ISPs, and those who can't. | |
Please represent the whim of the people, not the ISPs. | |
