A bunch of smart and intelligent individuals, having great productive dialogue.

Publicly.

Which requires, to make a list, of everything that makes great dialogue impossible...

The necessary assumptions to have a productive public denotational dialogue on any subject are:

  1. The assumption that it's best to not write, only read.

(In general, shut up. You're neither smart nor intelligent enough to participate in this dialogue. Really. You're not).

  1. The assumption that what individuals write makes sense.

(They may be wrong, but they still write it, so as input to the dialogue it makes sense).

  1. The assumption that what smart individuals write makes subtle sense, until proven otherwise.

(When a smart individual is writing something obvious it is intended subtle. Smart people can't help themselves adding subtle information when writing. Who to consider smart is up to you, that should not be a concern for the dialogue).

  1. The assumption that intelligent individuals writing something wrong makes sense counter-intuitively, until proven otherwise.

(When an intelligent individual is writing something wrong, assume the subject of the dialogue touched on something counter-intuitive. Who to consider intelligent is up to you, that should not be a concern for the discussion).
