So far edits from the original...

• 2012.10.17: pecl_http's http_build_url's first parameter $url should be either an url string (presumed valid) or an array like parse_url. This version originally just assumed $url is only a valid string and parse_url'd it, ergo would fail if you gave it an array. Now it either does that or assumes it's a valid object/array and typecasts $url to an array.
