诸葛亮一生， 戎马倥偬， 统军征战， 运筹帷幄， 神机妙算， 为蜀 汉政权的建立和稳固立下了汗马功劳。同时他深通古代兵法， 加上自 己丰富的战争经验， 编著过多种兵书， 可惜这些兵书大多都已亡佚。 枟将苑枠和枟便宜十六策枠是他留世的少数作品中最重要的两部。
