"What about Backbone, RequireJS, UnderscoreJS, do you know those?"

"Yes."

"It says here that you have HTML5 experience"

"Yes."

"Can you go into any detail on that?"

"Sure, what would you like to know?"

"Have you ever used an HTML5 doctype? Client is really keen on that."

[HANG UP]

Clients love DOCTYPEs.

You should've hung up after the 3rd question. I hate recruiters that don't know what they're talking about.

I think you give that recruiter too much credit. I think he really said:

"So you can write Java script code?"

Handcoding JavaScript. :-D

I've had that same conversation so many times, which is why I no longer answer recruiter calls.
