"What about bootstrap. They're looking for someone that really knows bootstrap."

"Yep, I can do that"


"What about Backbone, RequireJS, UnderscoreJS, do you know those?"

"Yes."


"It says here that you have HTML5 experience"

"Yes."


"Can you go into any detail on that?"

"Sure, what would you like to know?"


"Have you ever used an HTML5 doctype? Client is really keen on that."

I think you give that recruiter too much credit. I think he really said:

"So you can write Java script code?"

I've had that same conversation so many times, which is why I no longer answer recruiter calls.
