| $ mysqld -u mysql --skip-grant-tables & | |
| Update your password | |
| $ mysql -u root | |
| Reload privileges | |
| mysql> update mysql.user set password=password('newpassword') where user='root'; | |
| Kill mysqld | |
| mysql> flush privileges; | |
| Start mysql daemon | |
| $ killall mysql | |
| $/etc/init.d/mysql start |
