sudo nano /usr/share/themes/Ambiance/metacity-1/metacity-theme-1.xml

change following values to 5 or another value you prefer

"<distance name="left_width" value="1"/>"
"<distance name="right_width" value="1"/>"
"<distance name="bottom_height" value="1"/>"

or you can resize the window with ALT + right click or with ALT + F8
