Javascript Developer

We are a data visualisation company based just off Old Street, London. We are looking for a JavaScript developer to join our start-up, and help us grow.

Our company is small (currently 5) with lots going on. You will be involved in many different projects, from working on our core platform, to creating data stories for our clients from scratch.

We use the latest technologies (D3, TypeScript, React, Redux, Node, PostgreSQL) to build innovative data visualisations to make information more engaging, accessible and most importantly useful in any type of organisation.

Our days vary, split between:

  • Writing new data-visualisations with D3
  • Hacking on our platform in React, TypeScript, Redux, and Node
  • Beefing up our versioned data-storage system (think git for data)
  • Working directly with clients, turning whatever crazy data sources they have into something beautiful and useful.

We are looking for permanent employees. We're an early-stage team, so we prefer in person, based from our office on Old Street.

You must already have the right to work in the UK.

Requirements:

  • Experience with at least some of the technologies we use or an ability to pick these up fast!
  • Front End: D3, TypeScript, React, and Redux
  • Back End: Node and PostgreSQL
  • As well as existing experience, you'll need to be independent, curious and energetic

Benefits:

  • £28,000 - £70,000 depending on level and experience

  • We don't do 'agile' with an absurd Scrum Master® enforcing 1 hour long stand-ups every day and retrospectives every week
  • We're not cheap: if it'll make you happy and productive to have a cinema's worth of displays, or a coffee machine that makes baristas weep, just ask
  • We deploy often: you'll have immediate impact
