Save this file to:

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

This will enable the Apple MacBook Air SuperDrive on more Macs than just the MacBook Air and Mac Mini.

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot "Kernel Flags" -string ""
