Effective: September 2, 2026
good times is a clock app for macOS that shows a 24-hour watch face with local sunrise, sunset, and precipitation.
- Location. With your permission, the app reads your device's location to determine your timezone and to look up sunrise, sunset, and hourly precipitation for where you are. If you decline, the app falls back to an approximate location estimated from your IP address.
- Your coordinates only (latitude/longitude) are sent to weather and sun-data services (Apple WeatherKit, sunrise-sunset.org, Open-Meteo, and IP-geolocation providers ipapi.co / ipwho.is) solely to retrieve forecasts and sun times.
- Nothing, anywhere. Fetched sun and weather data is cached on your Mac only (in the app's local preferences) to speed up launches. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no data sold or shared with anyone.
