Updated with simpler implementation (than old revision) suggested by Ryan:

evaluate :: (MonadWidget t m, Reflex t) => (a -> IO b) -> Event t a -> m (Event t b)
evaluate f actions = performEvent $ fmap (liftIO . f) actions
