Wikipedia on hypertext fiction
Hypertext fiction is a genre of electronic literature, characterized by the use of hypertext links which provide a new context for non-linearity in "literature" and reader interaction.[1] The reader typically chooses links to move from one node of text to the next, and in this fashion arranges a story from a deeper pool of potential stories. Its spirit can also be seen in interactive fiction.
The idea is to bring these to the phone in a fine mobile optimised version, complete with an editor that would allow people to create their own adventures and play them on their phone. A key point would probably be geolocation integration, so one could create a game that would only work in Berlin because you needed to be at certain places for the game to advance.
A few days ago, I received my leap motion developer unit (more info, see https://leapmotion.com/ or watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_d6KuiuteIA for a first impression).
When plugged in, the device exposes all sensors via WebSocket+JSON, so it's very web hacker friendly.
The idea is to hack something with it.
I'm willing to lease the device to anyone who wants to hack with it, just talk to me. I look just like my avatar.
