SimpleReach is NYC-based start-up creating a new measurement layer for the social web to help the world's best publishers gain insight into the content that drives engagement, traffic, and conversions. Responsibilities and Tasks | |
We're looking for a design intern with a serious love of information visualization, user experience, and visual design. You'll be treated as part of the team and not tasked to run errands and pick up coffee, working on a variety of projects along with our Chief Design Officer . Some of the things you'll be working: | |
- creating a design language and style guide for company assets such as presentations and reports | |
- designing information visualizations for our blog, educational materials, and internal team | |
- coming up with new ideas for our marketing site and landing pages | |
- improving our product onboarding | |
- designing company schwag (t-shirts, stickers, buttons, etc) | |
What You Will Learn | |
- what life is like at a start-up | |
- how to work fast, break things, have fun, improve | |
- how to wear many hats | |
- how to work with engineers, data scientists, and business folks | |
- how the sausage is made - we are technology focused startup and use tools like Github for the majority of our communication - while you may not be submitting code, you'll learn the ins & outs of how to work with and talk about fast-moving software projects | |
What We Are Looking For | |
- a rising junior or senior with strong foundational design knowledge in visual and information design. Interaction & user experience design a plus (or just a desire to learn more about these fields of design) | |
- solid writing and presentation skills - working at a start-up means selling your ideas and getting team buy-in. You must be able to communicate! | |
- rabid curiosity | |
- a self-starter with the ability to work in an unstructured environment | |
- an strong interest in startups, software, and the web | |
- awesome but totally not necessary or required: HTML/CSS/Javascript knowledge | |
Terms | |
- summer internship | |
- 20 to 40 hours a week (can be determined by the candidate) |
