Useful ...

FWIW, a code golf equivalent:

tell application "Reminders" to delete (reminders whose completed = true)

and a Yosemite JXA JavaScript equivalent:

var appR = Application("Reminders");
appR.delete(appR.reminders.whose({
    completed: true
}))
