They want the debit card physically in their possession so that they can drop (deposit a check) on the account. It's not uncommon for deposit fraudsters to show pictures of a debit card on their Telegram channels and ask "Who sent me this". This is where someone physically sent the deposit fraudster a debit card, but the communication wasn't great.

Clone Cards	Card created by a fraudster rather than issued by an institution	"Make money with clone cards and dumps with pin" "Low and high balance clone cards available dm for your orders" "You can link your clone cards to your cashapp and get all the money out from the card don't miss out guys let's get rich 🤑 together 💪"	These are cards created by the fraudster. They will buy blank cards generally with an EMV chip/magstripe from someplace like Amazon and then load the information for a compromised card onto the blank card. They will then write the PIN for the card on the actual card and sell it. When you see these, they almost always are white card with an EMV chip with the PIN written with a black marker.

Cook, Cooking, Cook up	Creating a counterfeit check	"ANY SLIP PURCHASE COMES WITH A FREE COOK UP IF YOU NEED IT"	This term gets a bit squishy also depending on who is using it. In some cases, "cook" will mean taking compromised bank information such as the account and routing number and creating a brand new counterfeit check. "Recook" will then mean taking an existing check and using it to create a new check.

CSC, CVV, CVC, etc	Security codes on the back of a card	"How can I find out a cards zip code with just card number CVC and exp ?" "For all your [ fullz / cvv ] needs ask your bin and province."	The fraudster usage for these codes on Telegram is for the codes on the back of a credit card that is used to validate a card not present transaction. The acryonym depends on the type of card being used. MasterCard uses CVC, for example, and Visa uses CVV.
Dba	"doing business as"	"171k stim dba open up complete inny work"	This is for check fraud where a fraudster will create a business account that has a DBA name that matches or is close to a fraudulent check they wish to deposit and deplete.
DCU	Digital Federal Credit Union	"DCU Openup with Debit linked to piece available"

Direct Deposit	Electronic funds transfer from a compromised account to another account.	"Direct Deposit: means sending payment directly into an account or prepaid banks/cards using the Account number and Routine number of the Payee/Receiver" "If you got a good cashapp it's easy to clear the funds after direct deposit from banklog 💰💯"	Basically, it's the fraudster electronically moving funds from one account to another using whatever rail is avaliable to them such as ACH.

It's also a popular recreational drug. The term also seems to be used broadly for anything similar to the Promethazine-Codeine mix, but I've seen them literally show pictures of bottles of that mix when referring to it.

DTMF	Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency signaling.	"🔸 PGP / Conference Calls 🔸 Live DTMF 🔸 Call Streaming - Listen to call in Real-Time!"	This makes for an interesting Google search, but it's the signaling system that uses the sounds that you get when you use a touch page to dial a number, etc.

Gwm	get with me	"if you need a new cookup man GWM"	This is a recruitment type term. The fraudster is trying to get people to work with them on some sort of fraud method. For check fraud, it's commonly used by fraudsters who have checks to deposit, but they are looking for accounts to use or they are offering some sort of service like creating counterfeith checks, selling checks, etc.
Ham	A term of contempt for someone who isn't good at fraud.	"Who got navy heads all I need is email on account for m2m instant reflection. No hams !"	It's sometimes used as a term for people who has ripped someone off See: Ripper
Head	Account owner working on behalf of the fraudster.	"Usa head needed for sure Cash out 20k deal daily drop" "okay so basically get what you can out the box and cash app before you gotta send head in is what I'm hearing"
High glass, High stims, etc	Large amount checks	"I got a 1 month chase who tryna lab high glass only I can drop today" "I got a navy fed 2y dumb trans no m2m only high glass or high stimmy"
History	Aged bank accounts. (The context that I see this being used in lends itself to wanting accounts that are not only old, but have activity on them.)	"If you gotta Navy with history & wanna make guarantee money . Dm me now good business only✅50/40"	They consider the best accounts to be used for fraud something that has both been aged and has some use on it so that it looks like a normal account to the financial institution.

Stepped On	Already used such as a check that has already been negotiated.	Fraudster 1: "It's not stepped on right?" Fraudster 2: "What you mean gang ?" Fraudster 1: "Like uu didn't use it yet" Fraudster 2: "Nahhh" "Literally I make sure I handle my part, Want me to put your glass up for yea pm shi not rocket science glass can't be stepped on 😈"
Stepper, Steppers	Someone who is good at fraud, reliable, etc.	"Y'all know ima stepper!! I never gotta fake anything" "Ima stepper put me in chat !!" "Think it's time to make my own private chat w steppers + vouched labs + vouched resources" "Steppers shop up they play no games when list posted !!"	It's a broadly used slang term that can take on some different meanings depending on the context, but it's generally someone saying they are good, reliable, to be feared, etc
Stimmy	Government stimulus checks. Sometimes used for government tax refund and other government checks.	"1k BITCOIN for this stimmy get your btc ready before you hit me up"	The most common use is for checks issued by the United States Department of the Treasury for any reason, not just stimulus programs. However, I've seen the term used to refer to checks issued by state governments also.

Striker	Someone working on behalf of a fraudster. It's a very broadly used term in, at least, the Canadian fraud ecosystem for someone working on behalf of a fraudster. It's likely that this term is being used because "striker" is a footie/soccer for a player like a forward whose primary objective is to score goals as opposed to someone who plays defense.

Swaps, Swapping	SIM Swapping	"T-Mobile swap completed"	The fraudster tricks a mobile carrier to transfer a user's mobile account to their SIM card. This means the actual customer loses control of their number and the fraudster device associated with the fraudster's SIM card now controls the phone number.
Sweep	Depletion of funds from an account	"Who wanna learn how to get into accounts and sweep them easily✅ you'll just need a laptop or extra device like a burner to use for this"	Rarely used term. "Wipe" is more commonly used.
Swing, Swing em, Swing me, etc	Provide something to a fraudster such as an account for them to use for fraud	"Any aged CU swing em my way I've got instant glass for you !!" "Banks needed I got glass I can drop right now 💯🤝 swing anybank"
Switch, Glock Switch, etc	A device installed on the back of the slide of a Glock that turns the pistol into a full-automatic firearm	"Glock switch now fully in stock"

TD	1. Touchdown (successful fraud or succesful delivery of items like debit cards, etc) 2. TD Bank	"Yo my brother the package touched down" "Got a td drop if anyone tryna work 50/50 split"

TLO, TLOxp	Transunion's TLO product	"New TLO account in lmk price 200$ dm let's work 💯"	Used to gain personal information (SSN, DoB, address, emails, phone numbers, vehicle information, etc) for various fraud typologies such as identity theft, account takeover, etc. It's a very popular service with fraudsters.
Tlo Lookups	Fraudster offering to use TLO to provide information to another fraudster	"Tlo lookups/account"	This is where a fraudster will have something like a name and address for someone, but they want more like a date of birth and social security number so they will pay someone with TLO access to provide them that information.

Whose card?, Who sent this?, etc	Phrases like these will accompany a screenshot of a debit card. This is a scenario where someone sent a check deposit fraudster a debit card for an account to be used for deposit fraud. However, the communicaiton wasn't great so the debit card shows up and our check deposit fraudster doesn't know who sent it to him so they go on their channel to figure it out. There are also other iterations that we will see sometimes when it comes to a fraudster getting BTC or some other form of electronic funds and not knowing what it is for.
