Have you ever tried pair-programming full-time? It's not as easy as it looks.
We tried introducing full-time pair programming into our team a couple of times, but every time after a couple of weeks we were burned out and frustrated. This talk will show you the combination of techniques that we used to finally overcome the obstacles inherent in pair-programming, along with a bunch of tips and tricks from the trenches how to become even more effective at it.
Notes
I've been doing pair-programming continuously for over two years now and this talk is deeply rooted in my own and my team's experiences. I've presented on the topic a couple of times. You can find slides and a recording of the talk on my blog.
