YouTube Music ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME Fix - Brave Browser

Problem

When trying to open YouTube Music (music.youtube.com) in Brave Browser, the page fails to load and displays the following error:

This site can't be reached
ERR_UNKNOWN_URL_SCHEME

Why Does This Happen?

In short: Brave is trying to "help" by intercepting YouTube links, but ends up breaking YouTube Music in the process.

Solution (worked for me)

The fix is simple: disable the "Open YouTube links in Brave" setting in Brave's Media settings.

Instructions

Step 1 — Go to Settings.

Step 2 — In the left sidebar, scroll down and click on "Media".

Step 3 — Look for the toggle labeled:

"Open YouTube links in Brave"

Step 4 — Turn it OFF.

Step 5 — Restart Brave Browser (close completely and reopen).

Step 6 — Navigate to music.youtube.com — it should now load correctly.

This is the fix that worked for me and may be considered a preliminary workaround. If this error resurfaces in a future Brave update, I will update this Gist with a new solution. For now, this is the confirmed working fix.
