Locks itself when battery is disconnected. Can only be unlocked when a code is entered.
Code is based on the combination VIN, Serial Number, and PU Number of the radio.
There is a possibility that the code is written on top of the stereo head unit.
GM Dealers should be able to give you this code over the phone.
Hold "Band" button until "Enter Code" appears.
Entering the wrong code will lock you out of the "Enter Code" menu for one hour. Simply remove the wiring harness from the back of the head unit for 15 seconds, and reconnect.
Using a wire coat hanger and pliers, fashion two "U" shaped pieces of wire. Insertion of these two "Keys" on both sides of the head unit should unlock it from the dashboard.
Mixed-mono, voice quality audio. Not so good for music.
