Turn your Raspberry Pi into a kiosk playing looping videos
An acquaintance needed a video kiosk that plays looping videos for an exposition booth.
Since I have a bunch of Raspberry Pis lying around, I figured that it would be the perfect use case for using one of them.
Let's assume we start from scratch, with a unflashed, brand new SD card and your Raspberry Pi.
These methods in this gist worked for me on my U.S.-based keyboard layouts. I am unsure about other layouts. If you have problems, revert your changes; delete the registry key you created (and reboot).
Update: you should probably scroll down to approach 4 where I suggest using Microsoft PowerToys Keyboard Manager.
Approach 1. Manually through regedit
Navigate to and create a new binary value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout named Scancode Map.

Ubuntu 16.04 only provides packages for MySQL 5.7 which has a range of backwards compatibility issues with code written against older MySQL versions.
Oracle maintains a list of official APT repositories for MySQL 5.6, but those repositories do not yet support Ubuntu 16.04. However, the 15.10 repos will work for 16.04.
For this method, alongside your Pi Zero, MicroUSB cable and MicroSD card, only an additional computer is required, which can be running Windows (with Bonjour, iTunes or Quicktime installed), Mac OS or Linux (with Avahi Daemon installed, for example Ubuntu has it built in). 1. Flash Raspbian Jessie full or Raspbian Jessie Lite onto the SD card. 2. Once Raspbian is flashed, open up the boot partition (in Windows Explorer, Finder etc) and add to the bottom of the config.txt file dtoverlay=dwc2 on a new line, then save the file. 3.
