Longform (http://longform.org/), site that recommends excellent long-form non-fiction from around the web. This American Life (http://www.thisamericanlife.org/), my favorite radio show. It's mesmerizing, each week covering some strange and intimate aspect of American life. The stories are as addictive as butterscotch popcorn!
 Previous Work Experience: Surgical Neurophysiologist for 4 years. Worked on over 400 surgeries at over 50 hospitals with over 50 surgeons, in 7 states. Started in Boston at 5 hospitals connected to Harvard Medical School. Tutored college and high school students for 8 years. Also taught MCAT at Harvard and Boston University, for Princeton Review. Web/database developer and consultant for 3 software companies, including IBM Global Services Consulting. Chemical and process development engineer for Applied Materials, plus semiconductor companies like Motorola.
 Short Bio: As a former spinal surgery guy, chemical engineer, web developer, and teacher, I love creativity and a steep learning curve. Want to help people in multiple industries with my code. Am passionate about studying algorithms and fascinated by machine learning. I also love writing, analyzing people, and acting like a journalist. Would love to be a consultant, serving customers in multiple fields. Am also interested in entertainment/television and medical applications, like expert systems IBM Watson to help doctors make smarter medical diagnoses.
