after compiling i am getting following error :-( please guide me how can i resolve it

WordCount.java:17: error: error while writing TokenizerMapper: WordCount$TokenizerMapper.class (Permission denied) public static class TokenizerMapper ^ Note: WordCount.java uses or overrides a deprecated API. Note: Recompile with -Xlint:deprecation for details. 1 error

There is no problem within code. If anyone is finding the solution for this error, this has worked for me:

  1. Compile the WordCount.java file as a root user by adding 'sudo' before the command as:

sudo javac -classpath $(hadoop classpath) -d '/home/rimshub/Desktop/Lab/tutorial_classes' '/home/rimshub/Desktop/Lab/WordCount.java'

  1. And do the same with command which puts all the output files in one jar:

sudo jar -cvf WordCount.jar -C tutorial_classes .
